Where should the depositor apply for compensation?
The bank has an attorney.
Depositors who have concluded one or more bank account and (or) bank deposit (deposit) agreements with the bank or in whose name such agreements have been concluded may submit an application for payment of compensation to the attorney-general, presenting only an identity document.
A person authorized by the depositor may apply to the proxy bank with an application for payment of compensation, presenting an identity document and a document confirming his authority.
In the Agency of Deposit Compensation (hereinafter – ADC).
The following persons may apply to ADC for compensation:
heirs, guardians, legal representatives of the depositor;
depositors, in cases of:
making payments on a savings certificate, including to bearer;
partial refund of funds to the depositor by the bank in which the bank account and (or) the bank deposit (deposit) was opened;
the opening of bankruptcy proceedings against an individual entrepreneur, or the finding of an individual entrepreneur in the process of termination of activity;
disagreement of the depositor with the amount of compensation for the bank deposit (deposit) to be paid;
the attorney's bank does not have information about whether ADC has an obligation to an individual to reimburse a bank deposit;
the expiration of the five-year deadline for submitting an application for compensation and the need to restore the relevant period in the presence of circumstances specified in Article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated July 8, 2008 № 369-Z “On guaranteed reimbursement of bank deposits (deposits) of individuals”.
