On international events organized by the Deposit Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of representatives of the State Institution "Agency for Guaranteed Reimbursement of Bank Deposits"

As part of international events organized by the Deposit Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek from February 19 to February 20, 2025, representatives of The “Agency of Deposits Compensation” (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) participated in meetings of the Council of Heads of Deposit Insurance Organizations of the Member States The EAEU (hereinafter referred to as the Council of Heads), The Expert Group on the harmonization of legislation in the field of insurance (guaranteeing) bank deposits, liquidation, financial rehabilitation and bankruptcy of credit institutions in the territory of the EAEU under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Expert Group), as well as the working group on cooperation in in the field of digitalization, automation and information technology under the Council of Heads of Organizations for Insurance (Guarantee) of Bank Deposits the EAEU Member States (hereinafter referred to as the Working Group).
During the meeting of the Council of Heads, information was exchanged on the situation in the banking sector, deposit insurance (guarantee) systems of the EAEU member states, as well as the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a report was heard from a representative of the Financial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission on the harmonization of legislation in the field of financial markets and the beginning of work on agreed proposals for the harmonization of state legislation members of the EAEU in the field of creating and operating deposit insurance systems, as well as issues of creating and using the EAEU Information Portal on deposit Protection were discussed.
During the meeting of the Expert Group, a number of expert opinions related to harmonization in the field of deposit insurance were discussed, as well as the structure of the draft agreed proposals on the harmonization of legislation of the EAEU member states in the field of creation and functioning of deposit insurance systems for the population.
During the meeting of the Working Group, a discussion and exchange of experience took place on ensuring the continuity of the availability of electronic services of international deposit insurance organizations.
