One of the areas of activity of the State Institution “Deposit Guarantee Agency” of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) is international cooperation, the main goal of which is to establish and develop mutually beneficial relations within the framework of international financial organizations, as well as organizations that establish uniform norms and standards for deposit insurance systems. International cooperation facilitates the exchange of information and experience between the Agency and other participants in the financial security system and banking institutions.

Participants in international organizations of deposit insurers jointly conduct research and develop a methodology for establishing new and developing existing deposit insurance systems. In addition, international communities of deposit insurer organizations provide a forum for discussing and exchanging experience on the most pressing issues in the field of developing deposit insurance systems, conducting training and educational programs, and conducting research on issues related to deposit insurance.

The agency is a member of the International Association of Deposit Insurers, fruitfully cooperates with experts and insurance organizations of different countries, including the CIS countries, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of deposit insurance systems around the world through the development and promotion of a methodology that reflects the best world practice, and the development of cooperation within the international professional community.The objectives of international cooperation of deposit insurance organizations are to promote the stability of financial systems by ensuring international cooperation in the field of deposit insurance and to encourage broad international relations between deposit insurance organizations and other interested parties.

The Agency is also a member of the Eurasian Regional Committee of the International Association of Deposit Insurers. Regional committees provide an opportunity to express their opinions on common interests and issues affecting members in these regions.
