How can I get a refund to the clients of ABSOLUTBANK CJSC?

Individuals, including those acting as individual entrepreneurs (hereinafter referred to as individuals), who have deposited their funds in accounts with ABSOLUTBANK CJSC, have the right to apply from July 25, 2022 to July 2, 2027 with an application for reimbursement of a bank deposit with Bank Dabrabyt OJSC.

JSC “Bank Dabrabyt” is an agent bank of The Agency of Deposit Compensation (hereinafter – ADC).

Individuals have the right to contact ADC (Minsk, Pavel Shpilevsky str., 54) from Monday to Thursday from 08:15 to 17:00, on Friday from 08:15 to 15:45, break from 13:00 to 13:30, in cases stipulated by law.

According to Article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated July 8, 2008 № 369-Z “On guaranteed Reimbursement of bank deposits (deposits) of individuals”, if a bank deposit (deposit) is placed in Belarusian rubles, the amount in Belarusian rubles is paid upon its reimbursement, if in a foreign currency, the amount is paid in the currency in which A bank deposit has been placed. At the request of an individual, the refund of a bank deposit, regardless of the currency of the bank deposit, can be paid in Belarusian rubles.

When calculating the equivalent of the amount of the bank deposit and the amount of the refund, the official exchange rate of the National Bank is used, the cross-rate calculated on the basis of the official exchange rates of the Belarusian ruble against the corresponding foreign currencies on the date of ADC obligation to an individual to reimburse the bank deposit.

The date of ADC obligation to reimburse the bank deposit to the clients of ABSOLUTBANK CJSC is July 5, 2022. When calculating the equivalent of the refund amount, the official exchange rate of the National Bank as of July 5, 2022 is used.:
