A meeting of the Expert Group on the harmonization of legislation in the field of insurance of bank deposits, liquidation, financial rehabilitation and bankruptcy of credit institutions in the territory of the EЕU was held in Minsk
On May 13-14, 2026, a joint meeting of the Expert Group on Harmonization of Legislation in the Sphere of Insurance of Bank Deposits, Liquidation, Financial Recovery, and Bankruptcy of Credit Organizations in the EAEU under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Subgroup on the Banking Sector of the Working Group on Harmonization of Legislation of the EAEU Member States in the Financial Sphere under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission was held in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus. The meeting was organized by The Agency of Deposit Compensation (Republic of Belarus).
During the meeting, a joint discussion was held on Harmonized Proposals for the harmonization of legislation of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union in relation to the functioning of the systems of insurance of deposits of the population.
In addition, during the meeting, issues such as ensuring the continuity of the activities of deposit insurance organizations, proposals on process management and the system of internal control in deposit insurance organizations were discussed.
The meeting was held in person, as well as through online connection of participants.
