About seminar for banks

At the Training Center of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus for banks registered at the ADC was held a seminar on the topic “New in the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated July 8, 2008 No. 369-Z “On guaranteed compensation of bank deposits (deposits) of individuals" on April 14, 2022.
Deputy Director General of the ADC Sviatlana Leha, during opening the event, stressed the importance and significance of innovations in the field of guaranteed repayment of deposits in the country. Particular attention was focused on the issues of the upcoming practical application of such changes, the organization of interaction between banks and the Agency.
At the seminar, presentations were made by employees of the Main Department of Banking Supervision of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, as well as employees of the Agency.
During the seminar, the main innovations of the legislation were considered both from the point of view of the conceptual approaches underlying the changes made, and in the light of their upcoming practical application in the activities of banks and the Agency. Particular attention was paid to the organization of the repayment of compensation in connection with the adopted changes and new approaches to the procedure for forming the register of bank obligations. A separate section presented the topics of methodology for assessing the activities of banks in order to determine the level of risks they accept and changes related to the payment of calendar fees to the Agency's reserve, including when applying differentiated rates.
Representatives of 20 banks of the Republic of Belarus took part in the seminar and discussion. The topic of the seminar aroused the listeners' increased interest and active discussion of issues during the familiarization with the presentations of the speakers.
